Description of Intern Responsibilities
Interns are expected to assist with day to day tasks, tours, planning/teaching sketchbooks and artist statements with the High School Studio, and planning/teaching the Middle School Studio.

Day to Day Tasks |
Include returning phone calls and e-mails as well as assisting with additional class preparation. |

Tours |
Tours of the grounds and gallery are given by appointment. New interns will shadow an experienced guide for several weeks before being given the opportunity to lead a tour themselves. Those teaching the Middle School Art Class will not be responsible for given during their class. |

Sketchbooks and Artist Statements in High School Studio |
One hour every other day during the High School Studio will be dedicated to sketchbook and artist statement development. Interns will be responsible for guiding sketchbook usage and the writing of artist statements. |

Middle School Studio |
Middle School Studio is a one week long program which focuses on 2D (drawing/painting) and 3D (ceramics/sculpture) artwork. Students spend half the day working in 2D and the other half working in 3D. Interns will be divided into groups and each group will be responsible for a class of middle school students. A different intern will lead the lesson each day and the creation of the lesson plans is the responsibility of the intern is charge.
