A visitor's first visual experience at the C. Barton
McCann School of Art is a magnificent view of Giardino, a collaboration
between art and nature.
An octagonal, architecturally designed garden, Giardino is outlined
by hand laid stones walls. On view in the garden are lily ponds, lighted
pathways, and brilliant flowering gardens. Embraced within this picturesque
setting are bronze statues created and imported from Italy. Representing
the “circle of life”, these hand sculpted masterpieces
provide an inspiration to the students. These sculptures offer a
deepening appreciation and inspiration for the students' experience
working in clay.
